AUTO-FOCUS, SAVE SCREENSHOT, SEND SCREENSHOT, FLASHLIGHT features are common for all modes and located on the right side of the camera view. Check pictures below for buttons description.
FreeHand-Mode
Advantages of this mode:
- objects can be measured in any direction with one snapshot.
- differently oriented objects can be compared with each other
- multiple measurements on one picture
There are two type of lines with circles on the screen:
White line
is used for your actual measurement and bounded with two circles that can be moved in any direction on the screen. These circles are used for object boundaries alignment. White line works as a ruler for your measurements.
Blue Line with three circles is used for alignment with a known-size reference object. This App
includes several most common objects like DVD disc and coins used as a reference for measurement. You can also use
your own reference object with known diameter. The blue line with markers on it is to be aligned with the reference object. This line is
called ROL (reference object line).
In order to make a measurement follow these steps:
- Go to Preferences or touch ROL view to change or select a reference object with known diameter from the list or use Custom option (last in the reference objects list) to specify the diameter of your own reference object.
- Select a plane where measurements are to be taken and place or select your reference object on this plane.
- Point
your camera at an object of interest (to be measured) the way that the
reference object is visible on the screen.
Note (!) that it's possible to use only small part of the reference object. To complete circle for the reference object only 3 points required to be marked. It allows you to make zoomed in pictures with big reference objects that don't fit camera view and to increase accuracy of the measurements.
- (Optional) Tap the green Camera button to take current view snapshot. This step is optional but useful for more comfortable measurement procedure
and leads to more accurate results.
- Align blue colored ROL with the reference object by marking three points on the circle.
- (Optional) Fix the ROL on the screen and hide markers by long touch on ROL size indicator.
- Move circles of the white ruler in any direction you want to measure object. Use these circles to define
boundaries of an object or length.
- (Optional) Tap the green Play button to go back to live camera view.
- To add more rulers make a LONG TOUCH on the screen and MOVE
Note:
Result area shows:
- L - measured object size in selected measurement units.
- L/ROL - how many reference objects fit into the measured object (can be used to compare objects).
- ROL - diameter of chosen reference object in selected measurement units.
If two white markers of a selected ruler lay on a circle with its center coinciding with the ROL center:
- R - radius from the center point to the markers.
- Arc - arc length between two white markers.
- Angle - angle between two radius lines from the center to the markers
- Sect. A- sector area
- Sect. A- segment area
Please note, reference and measured objects have to be located on the same plane which must be parallel to the camera plane.

Angle-Mode
Advantages of this mode:
- object length, area and angle can be measured.
There are three lines bounded with circled on the screen:
Yellow and Blue lines are used for your actual length, area and angle measurements and bounded with circles that
can be moved in any direction on the screen. These circles are used for
object boundaries alignment.

- To measure length, area or angle move circles of the yellow and blue rulers in any direction you want. Use these circles to define boundaries of an object. Enable Show Area in Preferences to measure area.
- (Optional) Tap the green Play button to go back to live camera view.
Note:
Result area shows:
- A,B - measured object size in selected measurement units.
- A/B - measurement lines ratio.
- Angle - angle between A and B.
- A/ROL, B/ROL - how many reference objects fit into the measured object (can be used to compare objects).
- ROL - diameter of chosen reference object in selected measurement units.
Please note, reference and measured objects have to be located on the same plane which must be parallel to the camera plane.
Area-Mode
Advantages of this mode:
- area and perimeter of irregular shaped objects can be quickly measured using Android device with camera.
There are two kind of lines bounded with circled on the screen:
Wite lines with red area inside are used to bound areas to measure. Circles can be moved in any direction on the screen, you can add circles/knots by long touch on the screen or delete last one or all by touch on Delete button on the right panel (check picture below for buttons deatails).

Use these circles to define object boundaries. If you need to add more circles just make a long tap on the screen. To remove last point touch Delete button (recycle bin). To remove all circles, make a long touch on the "Delete" button. - To add a marker/point on a line TOUCH center point of the line and MOVE
- (Optional) Tap the green Play button to go back to live camera view.

- P - perimeter in selected measurement units.
- Area - measured area in selected measurement units.
